Cell Phone Lot
In response to customer demand, the Cell Phone Lot is now open at Sacramento International Airport. Drivers picking up friends and family who do not want to park in an Hourly Parking lot are encouraged to use the 150-space lot for convenience and to avoid circling the airport, stopping along roadways or parking in "no parking" zones.
The new, free lot has no gate and is conveniently located near the Interstate 5 entrance/exit (see map) with access to both terminals. Waiting in the area is limited to three hours and unattended vehicles are strictly prohibited. The parking lot is regularly patrolled by Sheriff’s Deputies, and unattended vehicles will be towed.
Monitor Your Speed On Airport
To enhance public safety during Big Build construction, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department will step up speed patrols at Sacramento International Airport. Drivers are urged to be conscious of posted speed limits and not exceed the posted speed. Do keep in mind that weather conditions including fog and rain may require slower speeds, rendering the posted speed unsafe.
